My name is Ed Seiter - I am interested in geneology and have spent several years looking up the family tree. I have been meaning to blog this for a while, but never seem to get around to it - so here's the quick and dirty to be fleshed out when I can.
My father's mother was Sarah Miller.
Sarah's parents were John Miller and Margaret Flynn.
John Miller's parents were John Miller and Elizabeth Hauser. John Sr. was from Germany and Elizabeth was from Zurich - she arrived in the USA in 1862.
Margaret Flynn's parents were James Flynn and Sarah Brady. They arrived in the USA in 1882 from Roscommon, Ireland and Margaret was born soon after in 1883. Shortly after giving birth, Sarah Brady died.
Elizabeth Hauser was born in 1857. A geneology website claims that Elizabeth Hauser's parents were Urban and Anna Hauser, though I am unable to confirm.
They same geneology website states that James Flynn was born in 1851 and that his father, John was a horsetrader in Ireland.
That's as far back as I go in this branch of the family - the early 1800's.
